Grace rolls her eyes. "Knock yourself out, dude. You've got like, a gazillion acres of woodland forest to shoot at." Titus sniffs, indignant, but she cuts him off. "Now move. You're blocking my sun."
He lays his large hands on the tops of her bare feet, smoothing his calloused palms up the length of her shins and over her knees. They trail underneath the pink flowy sundress she threw on, appropriate for the stifling July heat, pushing it up to pool around her hips.
"You misunderstand, little rabbit," he drawls, fingers drawing shapes on the tops of her thighs, "I want to hunt."
A thrill runs through Grace that she hasn't felt in months; she feels alive, pinned beneath her husband's predatory gaze.
"Oh," she breathes.

Jackson's now turning back towards the unconscious man, shifting his brass knuckles in his grip.
Wow. Holland needs everything about that up in him as soon as possible. Part of him wants the man to wake up so he can watch Jackson punch him a few more times. Just for luck. Another part of him wants to yank Jackson by his stupid blue pleather jacket lapels and kiss him sloppily right in the middle of the street, while they're both still covered in sweat and blood.

I suddenly regret teaching him literally anything about biology. Some things more than others.
“Figure of speech,” I say. That’s so not the point. “Listen, is this about the other day? Because we can pretend it never happened, if it’s making you uncomfortable.”
Rocky skids to a stop. He slowly backs up a few paces, and now I can tell he is actually focusing on me, even though it doesn’t really matter which facet of his body is pointed in my direction, due to the aforementioned radial symmetry.
“Not uncomfortable,” Rocky says. “Interesting display of human culture and biology. Grace very kind to share with me."
