His eyes widened when she stepped into his path, expression softening from worry into relief. “What happened? Where are they? Are they -”
Alive sits heavy on her tongue. Tommy holds up a reassuring hand. “They’re alive.”
When Buck and Ravi are injured on a call, Tommy and May have a heart to heart.

Maddie pressed her hand to the wall of the hallway they were currently walking down, neck bent forward as she groaned. “What else - fuck - are we gonna talk - shit - about?”
Tommy finds himself kidnapped by a snarky pregnant lady while grocery shopping, winds up as her birthing coach, contemplates the world as he had thought he had known it as he waits for news about the building collapse, and gets the love of his life back. All in that order.

Weeks have gone by and life is returning to normal for everyone but Buck. As much as he tries, he can't move on. And then one day, all it takes is just one off handed comment to send him right over the edge. He's had enough of this shit and he's gonna let everyone know just that.

If Buck were able to put the storms of emotions into coherent words, he probably would say: That’s kind of a stupid question. Look at me. Do I look okay? How can anything be okay? Bobby is dead. And I fucked up. And you are not with me.
He just shrugs. “I guess.”
