Summary
Lily turns to him, smiling sweetly. She’s done this before, Lily reminds herself. Separated the boy from the blood-purists. It’ll be harder in this case, things are different, and it’s nothing like a revolution- yet.
“Right, I know you’re constrained by family obligations to be prejudiced and bigoted against Muggleborns although you actually don’t believe it, and that you can’t let anyone know and since Sirius is rather an asshole you have obligations, but we have a secret Marauders-Hating Club that I know you want to join. Meetings are every Sunday after breakfast, in the Come and Go Room.” Lily pauses for breath. Sev is currently wearing an expression that would lead one to believe he’s watching a horrifying train-wreck.
Lily flicks her wand, undoing the Silencing Charm, and Regulus opens his mouth.
“I don’t think-” Regulus tries, but Sev surprises both of them by sighing, loud and aggravated from his position against the wall.
“Look, do you hate James Potter or not?” Sev says, looking annoyed.Regulus swallows, eyes both of them. The silence stretches on and on and then slowly, he nods.

Summary
Severus Snape thought his stay-at-home boyfriend was just a charming British traveler with a trust vault and a difficult relationship with his parents. Sirius Black thought his overworked researcher boyfriend was the sweetest person in the world—in his own clinical, brilliant way. They had built a perfect life in New York, a sanctuary of domestic peace that neither had ever dreamed possible.
Until Sirius asked Severus to go back to Britain for his best friend's wedding.
Severus was shocked to learn Sirius was from the "Noble and Most Ancient House of Black," a dynasty built on bloodlines and old gold. Sirius was terrified that Severus would be crushed by the judgment of a high society that considered him "not a real wizard."

“ I think they worked well not because they were perfect people, but because their flaws complemented each other.Severus's cynicism, clinical view of the world, and low self-esteem meant Sirius was finally free from expectations.
And Sirius's avoidance gave Severus the space he needed to breathe. He didn't force confrontation or emotional reckoning that might fracture the fragile balance.
Because Severus's love was a bit obsessive, and he saw Sirius through rose-tinted lenses, he reframed everything about him as something acceptable or even good. This was the complete opposite of what Sirius had experienced with his family.
When Sirius felt like a coward for running, Severus called him brave. When Sirius felt like a failure for ruining dinner, Severus appreciated his effort. When Sirius felt guilty over his oversight in the Portkey incident, Severus saw only his consideration and devotion. And Sirius was good at reading people's tells—it was both a natural talent and a survival skill for him. Because of that, he read Severus better than anyone else, and he believed Severus was a misunderstood softy.
And because Sirius viewed Severus through his own rose-tinted lens, he never interpreted Severus's cutting remarks or dry sarcasm as malice. He simply thought Severus had a unique sense of humor—perhaps a little socially awkward, occasionally inappropriate, but Sirius had never cared much for social acceptability anyway. He just found Severus witty. They were both aware, on some level, that the other held this illusion of them—and each thought, "We work so well because he's perfect, and I get to be this new person when I'm with him."
Neither of them ever corrected the misconception.Like the lunch scene, where Sirius thought of them as a reformed bully and a socially awkward nerd. Or when Severus privately categorized Sirius as chihuahua/golden retriever, and himself as the big bad wolf.
The scenes below reflect that dynamic—they were so wrong in the ways that they were right for each other.
I felt they would burst the love-bubble/domestic bliss vibe of the first half of the story, so I chose not to include them in the main chapter.” -
