Properly, the way people usually do when engaged in conversation, but there’s something in the way he surveys me that makes me think he isn’t here for any services. He looks like the type of person who would gamble on something, but not this. Never this. His gaze is unceasing, intimidating, and all too much. I get goosebumps.
