Books were everywhere, some stacked in neat piles that almost reached the ceiling, others in messy piles mixed with papers and journals and pens and compasses and maps. Too many letters sat on his desk unanswered, work unattended to. He knows he needs to get it done but he just can't get himself to do it.

He knew he was gone. He has known it for years now. Now he knew he was beyond the event horizon, the light of the stars, of his soul, of whatever was left inside of him, was all being swallowed up at the speed of light and he was powerless to stop it. A spectator to his own demise.

Summary
