I wanted to give you something in return, but you ran ahead, your bare feet quick on the fern. And I followed, stumbling, yearning, tripping on roots, catching your laughter like it was a rope pulling me through the greens.
ㅤㅤWe built kingdoms out of fallen logs, crowned each other with birch leaves, swore oaths no one heard but the crows. And when dusk pressed gold through the branches’ glow, you pointed upward, told me the stars were holes where the gods peeked through the canopy's folds. I saw no need for the heavens above; you were the brightest thing, naturally.
ㅤㅤWe carved our names into cedar and bark, trusting the trees to remember our smirks longer than time itself. Summary
Mermaids weren't real. Or at least that's what Hiccup had always been told anyway.
So imagine his surprise when word comes from the Markets in the North that Viggo was holding an auction with his grand prize being a creature only seen in myth. Feeling without a choice and despite the large bounty on his head, Hiccup and Snotlout (Who was most definitely not invited) go to find the truth and find a merman who is without a doubt real and apparently cursed on top of that.
Now, the three of them are on the run from bounty hunters, monster hunters, the Grimborns, and a horde of angry Vikings led by Stoick who thinks Hiccup is being kidnapped. Can Hiccup, Snotlout, and Jack somehow clear up this misunderstanding? Or will the sea swallow any chance for reconciliation?Series

Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.
