Summary
Four hours into his shift, Jack was out in the ambulance bay, trying his best not to kick the damn bike – he’d been over there every hour, checking that it hadn’t moved. He’d even checked the abandoned wing, but had to admit it: Robby was nowhere to be found.
He looked at his phone for the fifth time in less than a minute. Fuck it, what was the point of his therapist saying “feel free to call in case of emergency” every week for the past five years if Jack never took her up on it?
The phone rang only once before a worried voice answered, “Jack?”
“I need you to talk me out of tracking Robby down and locking him up in my basement,” he spat.
.
Or: after Robby's done rocking Baby Jane Doe, the bike doesn't move, Robby takes shelter, and Jack's heart is tested. -

Summary
“If you ask me, Captain Abbot... you're wasted as a medic.” The General's eyes glinted with something. Greed, a dark knowledge.
That should have been his first warning.
After a decade of distinguished military service, Jack was nominated for the top-secret JAWS program. It had its teeth in him before he knew what it was. And then it tore him to shreds.
Jack takes up a civilian job at the Pitt ED while trying to piece his mind and body back together. With the help of Dr Robinavitch, he thinks he might just like who he becomes.
