Summary
Iruka's life as a dedicated teacher began at the prestigious University of Konohagakure. Known for being a kind and gentle person, Iruka's dream of a teaching degree soon turned into a financial nightmare. Penniless and gripped by desperation, he tried every legal avenue, but Iruka's past came back to haunt him; his parents' catastrophic debts slammed every door shut.
In Iruka's deepest despair, with tuition and his family's old debts piling up, he turned to the most dangerous resort. He accepted an illegal loan from one of the Hatake Mafia's henchmen.
Iruka's struggle only worsened after graduation. Two years after Iruka's degree was finished, he realized he had to pay triple the original amount. With a new teacher's low salary, he simply couldn't afford the payments. Iruka's reality was reduced to misery. He was at the Hatake clan's mercy... until the leader himself decided to collect.

Summary
Through stubbornness and what Kakashi calls a ‘dazzling display of heart,’ Iruka somehow befriends the CEO of Hatake Corp, Hatake himself. And no, despite what Iruka’s friends might think, Kakashi is not his sugar daddy. Kakashi is giving and selfless, and he’s Iruka’s friend, kind and reliable. Sure, he does constantly try to buy Iruka things, and he’s attentive, almost overwhelmingly so, but that’s just how he is: Kakashi is lonely. He’s not used to having friends.
Besides, their relationship is totally platonic. There's no sugaring. If anything—and this is a big if—he’d be something like a… Sugar Friend. Yeah, something adjacent to that.
Iruka is becoming increasingly unsure if that is actually true.
