James ignored them and took long strides across the now empty dance floor. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see everyone looking his way but the closer he got to Regulus, the more everything else faded away. By the time he stood in front of him, Regulus was the only person James could focus on.
Regulus raised an eyebrow but by the quirk at the corner of his lips, he was amused by James’ nervousness. James lifted a hand with the palm face up, the slight tremble visible to only Regulus. “Will you dance with me, Reg?”
The room paused. There were dropped jaws and barely stifled gasps. Regulus’ reply was clear in comparison to the mindless static. “I thought you’d never ask,” his voice low and teasing, sharing a private joke.

Summary
Sirius and Remus is currently in a happy relationship. Though not so different from when they were best friends, both are proud to present that they finally have a label. And to snog without having to hide from each other, I guess.
But it isn’t so well for baby black—Regulus, who sees no bright future in ever being with James Potter.
