Summary
I've known my heat would be coming ever since I'd gone for my yearly physical and my physician had refused to refill my suppressants. He'd thrown words around like "overdue" and "heatsick." Nobody seems to care that I've been on suppressants for years and that I've always ridden out my heats on my own.
In order to convince his insurance company to refill his suppressant prescription, Grace has to prove that he's at least trying to handle his heats without them. He hires an alpha from a rent-a-mate service, fully intending to send them away after they arrive. (See look, he tired!) Only, when the alpha arrives, Grace lets him inside, and then lets him do far more.
Or
Grace is an omega in heat, and Rocky's the alpha there to take care of him. They fuck about it.

After nearly a seventh of my life so far spent completely alone, I needed contact. Anything. All of my own personal effects that I brought in order to stave away loneliness and sexual urges did nothing for me. I was left even lonelier. Watching video after video of human copulation did nothing to ease my desires — part of me envied these people, how they could effortlessly touch one another, bringing each other’s bodies pleasures unfamiliar to me.
The only person I was with could not survive my touch. I had already touched it once, and it was permanently disfigured as a result. It’s [skin] marked with the perfect shape of my claw. I couldn’t stand it. Not any longer. In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.
