For all Gregor knew, the man simply had his guard up at first sight– who wouldn’t be, in the backstreets? He sped up until he was walking beside Heathcliff, watching him jot things down on a clipboard he was carrying. It was almost as if he would write until the day he died, with how fervent he was while scribbling down words that were almost too small for him to see. Obviously, he didn’t read what he was writing, as doing so would violate a client’s privacy– not that he was his client– either way, it would be just plain rude!

She flexed into the mirror, admiring her muscles that were… coming along– just at their own pace. The gallant cavalier stretched her limbs, twisting and turning until she could feel the all too familiar pop of her joints, bringing her leg behind her back, only to lose her balance and fall face-first into the mirror.
