Proper monster fucking, feathery/furrish naga, wings? either way, a fantasy au with both of them meeting for the first time, with Aziraphale casually hunting and meeting this weird human by accident or just ineffables switching things up a bit. Summary
Early one the morning on July 4th, 2025, Jack is too anxious to sleep. He self-soothes by waking Robby up with sex then making him breakfast.
Jack laid in the darkness, his eyes trained on Robby’s sleeping form as it rose and fell with his breaths. Alive, that’s what that meant. Robby was alive. Jack was a doctor and knew that there were many ways to be alive, to check for it, but breath was the least intrusive way he had at that moment.
Usually Jack’s fingers found their way to the carotid or the radial, slipped down to the femoral, the comforting pulse of Robby’s life lulling him to sleep. But on nights when Robby was twitchy, his sleeping mind would brush Jack’s anxious fingers away like they were an irritation or, if Jack was lucky, grab his hand to clutch it to his chest.
Robby was twitchy tonight, and Jack was not so lucky.

“He looks good,” Dana says as she sidles up next to him.
“Yeah, he does,” Jack replies without bothering to temper the fondness in his voice.
“So why don’t you look good?”
He turns to face her while placing his hand over his heart in mock offense. By the look she gives him, she’s not going to let him deflect, but that doesn’t mean he’ll make it easy on her.
“I’m golden. I got everything I wanted.”
“And now you’re so busy guarding it like a dog with a bone you can’t even enjoy it.”

“You could have been nicer about this.” Dennis mumbles quietly. Robby scoffs.
“What, so you don’t want him to stop?”
“I do.” Dennis insists. Of course he does. He’d sacrifice a lot to avoid the nauseous worry he feels every time Jack goes for another mission, or to never have to tend to another of his injuries again. “But I don’t think it’s going to work like this.”
“He needs to see reason eventually. He can’t keep doing this shit, Dennis.”
What about you? Dennis can’t help but think. When are you going to stop?
Or: Dennis hadn't quite realised just how bad Jack's and Robby's habits were. Now, he struggles to live with them.
