Scott hadn’t even been there for that. He’d only see it weeks later, on a video shared only because of Hollander’s horrified face when he’d tried to drag the man to safety before realizing he was already gone.
“I don’t just mean in that fight,” Rogers said. The vehemence took Scott by surprise, making him lean back a little. “Before and after, with every game you play, every battle I fight, every interview we give — we inspire people. We give people hope, and there is little that is more powerful than hope.”
They were hockey players, not heroes.

Matarys dies in kings landing in the sickness, but Valarr stays at Summerhall and lives. Lonnel also stayed in the Red Keep and died. Kiera gives birth to a healthy baby girl the year after Lysander is born.Daeron wrote to Maekar and Baelor warning about the sickness, and Maekar finally believed him, but there wasn’t much they could do. Baelor gambled with keeping Mateus with him despite the warning- hoping precautions would be enough and not wanting the family to seem weak or like they were fleeing Kings Landing. The double loss hardens Baelor and he becomes more the king who moves chess pieces than beloved uncle.

("Graphic Depictions of Violence" is marked even though there really isn't a lot of violence, per se, but there is some body horror; I think it's fairly mild, although as always YMMV. There's also a brief scene of what's essentially mind rape.)
