Summary
Long ago, two races ruled the Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS. One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. Using magic, the Seven Mages sealed the Monsters underground with a magic spell.
Or so the story goes...
After many years and more sacrifices, the DETERMINATION soul Frisk broke the barrier. Monsters were freed, fought for their rights as living things, and there was a peace for a time.
But what of the other souls? The six other children sacrificed for the barrier, who died so monsterkind could be free.
Monsterkind didn't even remember their names after so long, and the King would rather erect a monument to the nameless children and move on, forgetting what he had done in the name of their freedom.
He didn't forget...
He saw it all...
He remembered everything...
And He'll set it right...
Even if He was forgotten along with the children while he was away...

You should be dead. Everyone else in this god forsaken city died as soon as the barrier came down and these creatures, these MONSTERS, invaded Ebott City. You got lucky, or maybe not.
You had the bloodline of a mage. Which meant you could create barriers. In a moment of panic you had created a barrier in your apartment, locking you and your neighbor inside, and the monsters out.
But now the clock was ticking and you had a group of skeletons sniffing around your apartment, telling you that they couldn’t wait to drag you back to their den.

Izuku Midoriya, now Izuku Aizawa-Yamada, has lived with Shouta Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada since he was five, safe and loved enough to call them Dad and Papa.
