Vincent found himself running fifteen minutes late and he was internally kicking himself, he’d been trying to be on time, but his important meeting ran long. Alastor had been insistent that he show up to their usual place on time. If he left now, he could just make it on time to the radio studio. He’d have to rush though, but Alastor was worth it.

Alastor has a little gift for Vincent, a fun night spurs from there.

Lucifer let his head hang. He had no idea how to fix this. It was getting too far away from himself. She didn’t want him to touch her though. Maybe if he gave her more time, she’d warm back up to him. A few days in his workshop and maybe he can fix this and then they can all go to heaven too. “Do you-” he started. He feared he’d lose his nerves. Whatever was going on between them had become akin to a war. He was trying to make a peace treaty, but it all depended on her, at least now it did. “-want me to sleep elsewhere tonight?” The question hurt him, but he needed to make sure not to push anymore.
A soft sob escaped from Lilith’s mouth. “Yes,” she breathed softly, something different shining in her eyes. “I think you should.”

The last words he’d heard played over and over again in his memory. The irony was not lost on him. Ha fucking ha.
In that moment, fueled by his early demise and the bitter satire of the shape of his own head, he decided that he was going to really make something of himself here. He was going to be more famous, more powerful than that fucker had ever been. His skin prickled with what felt like electricity at the thought.
