Summary
“Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect?”
Stiles looked up and shook his head. “No… what is it?”
“It’s the idea that the smallest of situations, can set the biggest consequences in motion. A butterfly flapping it’s wings on one side of the world, creates a hurricane on the other.”
He nodded, that’s exactly how this situation sounds right now. If he and Scott never went out that fateful night and looked for that body, or if he and Derek never became friends, or hell, if he never agreed to Deatons plan in the first place… then none of this would be happening.
But fuck it, ‘caution’ isn’t in his vocabulary.

Summary
Buck takes the minute. He takes two. He looks down at the linoleum and follows the lines with his eyes, and rocks. He rocks and thinks and starts humming low and soft somewhere along the way and suddenly he bursts back to speech with something unexpected.
“Can I try kissing you?”
—
Buck gets all Buck about Eddies dating life. Eddie gets all Eddie about why he doesn’t feel like dating. They fall apart and then together again, like always. The kitchen is the place for big feelings and pivotal events, like always.Bookmarked by WingedMarkit

Summary
Eddie’s not sure what he’s doing in this place, in this poorly lit, dingy, sort of smelly bathroom. This place, this bathroom around the back of some mostly ignored 24/7 gas station, has been a known cruising spot for years. Men come and go at all hours, staff don’t ask questions or even look up from whatever is keeping them occupied.
Eddie’s never cruised before, but he was needing to do something different. Something to make him feel free.

Summary
Working his jaw, Buck took a shaky inhale. "Well, you wanna know what I'm hung up on? I'm hung up on how well we fit together, on the feeling of finally, finally being able to kiss you. I'm hung up on the way you told me that you loved me and gave me the best orgasms I've ever had in my life. I'm hung up on the fact that yet again, I'm not good enough for someone that I thought loved me enough to stay!" His voice grew louder and louder, until he was finally yelling at the end.
Eddie was leaned up against the wall, briefly looking to the ceiling, his eyes bright with unshed tears. "Buck," he said quietly. "Buck, that isn't how it is."
Buck's voice shook when he replied, "Yeah, well, that's how it fucking felt."Bookmarked by WingedMarkit

Summary
When Eddie finally goes back to work after the sniper incident, Buck is relieved to get just a little bit of space so everything can hopefully go back to normal. He spent so much time at the Diaz's place while his friend recovered that it was getting harder and harder to hide both his nightmares and his feelings from the man resting up in the next room.
Buck knows the universe is against him, that it is determined to take from him every possibility of love, so he is determined to keep this locked away for everyone's good. It's just that that gets harder and harder as time goes on. If remnants of real-life nightmares haunt him into silence, what will it take to unlock his heart?
