Ever since the battle (ever since Coulson died, is the main thing here) Clint can't sleep. Like, at all. 45 minutes of unconsciousness in a night is a great fucking success, and half the time, even that happens in several pieces over the course of several hours. Losing his mind is on the very short list of ways things can go next.
Then, he has a brilliant idea, but until he gives it a try, he doesn't know how brilliant it is.

Summary
As a child, Phil Coulson was vaccinated against whooping cough. In one version of the story, the vaccination held and he went on to become Agent Coulson, SHIELD bad-ass and Avengers liaison. In another, though, he was one of the few the vaccine doesn't protect and he nearly died when he was ten, suffering permanent lung damage and recurrent asthma. This is the story of what happened after that.

Summary
For this prompt, where the team doesn't know that Clint is deaf until he's captured and deprived of his sight and hearing aids and,
the rescue is made more difficult by the fact that he doesn't know who they are and keeps fighting. Even after the hood is cut off, he's still fighting because he still can't see or hear.
In which Clint is hopefully not broken, and the aftermath of a traumatic rescue effects the whole team.
