It wasn't likely that anything would hear him now, in the downpour, but with his luck, a Thorn cat would come lunging out of nowhere and rip his arms off. He continued stumbling through the jungle at an increasingly slow pace. He needed to make it out of here. Otherwise, they would find him.

Someone tried to murder me by burying me alive, but they messed it up so now I’m lost and have no idea where I am. Or who I am.
“Oh, I was traveling.” Scott answered mildly. “Got a bit bored of my home, so I left. Wanted to see what was out there, you know how it is.” He made some vague gestures. “Got a bit lost though, so I ended up here. What did you call it again?”
“Oakhurst.”
“Oakhurst…” Hm, sounded vaguely familiar.
or : in which Scott wakes up from his sleeping curse but his memory very much does not, leaving a very confused vampire with some serious memory issues who has no idea he’s a vampire in the first place. Surely this can only go well!
