    With a bottle of Château Picard in hand they made their way towards the front door, walking a little slower than necessary to prolong the inevitable. For what felt like the hundredth time, Raffi smoothed out non-existent wrinkles from her dark green jumper which Elnor had gifted her for her last birthday.
    “How are you even more nervous than I am?”, Seven asked, her knuckles almost turning white from how tightly she was clutching the bottle of wine. “Cut me some slack over here. I’m basically meeting your mom and family tonight.”, Raffi mumbled, trying to sound humorous but failing due to her obvious nervousness.
    “My mom?”, Seven inquired, her ocular implant rising towards her hairline.
    “Janeway.”
    “Janeway is not my mother.”, Seven responded, defensiveness obvious in her voice. The reaction caused a very real laugh to leave Raffi’s lips. “Sure, honey. Whatever you say.”

     

    or: Every year Kathryn Janeway hosts a Voyager family Christmas dinner but Seven hasn't been in contact for a while. With the encouragement of her girlfriend she decides to go.
