Summary
Sam had been complaining of how the days have gotten boring at Singer Auto, and truthfully? It had. They had an unusually slow couple of weeks, while Dean and Castiel were starting to see what Sam meant. Then one day had caused a heck ton of chaos, and turned everything from boring, to overwhelming pretty fast. Sam gets hurt, chaos ensues, and the hospital bills are a pain.
Thank God nobody sued anybody.

Summary
Dean is a null. Powerless in a world where almost everyone has some kind of ability. Not that it matters. Most people’s powers are glorified party tricks like finding loose change or hovering a few inches off the ground. Pretty useless. None of them can do a damn thing about the storms ripping through this part of the country.
Dean figures he’s not missing much.
Then a car hydroplanes straight at him, and Dean has just enough time to think, Of course.
Except a stranger grabs his arm. He hauls Dean out of the way, and time stops. Rain hangs in midair. Sound drops out. They’re the only two who can move inside the stillness. They can even hear each other’s thoughts. Then the guy lets go, and everything slams into motion again.
Dean only looks away for a moment, and his guardian angel is gone.
He tells himself it was adrenaline.
Then Castiel Novak walks into the garage where Dean works, and things are electric.

A year after the Empty took Castiel, Jack finds a way to get him out.
Castiel is returned to the bunker, much to the surprise of Dean, Sam, and Eileen.
Dean is... Fine.
Okay, so he went a little insane while Cas was gone, but now the angel is back and seemingly for good, so he's fine. Just fine.
But he would be great if his brain could calm the fuck down and quit it with the heated daydreams, involved fantasies, and the kind of dreams that have had Dean waking up in the middle of the night covered in sweat and aching for Castiel.
Also, why is the long-faded handprint he got as a souvenir from Hell back on his shoulder, bright and angry as the first day he found it?Bookmarked by Werepire052
