Summary
Sydney first laid eyes on Carmen Berzatto while running Sheridian Road. She saw his portrait in the Michelin Guide, heralding him as a prodigy at Empire. When the last vestiges of her business finally fizzled out and she moved back in with her father, she liked to think of the portrait as a well-suited punishment.
She printed it out and taped it to the wall beside her bed like it was an icon, so she could stare at it before she went to sleep. It was a source of comfort to feel as though she was holding herself accountable for her failures through the ever-present, looming figure of perfection that was Chef Berzatto.

Summary
At what point when you twist a human's body do they stop being human? At what point does their mind come along for the ride? At what point do they themselves cease to recognize themselves as anything but the monster the mirror reflects, and thus cease to exist as anything but that monster?
Would it be possible for that monster to remember, to become human again, if they only had a friend?
