Summary
One quiet winter afternoon, a strangely-dressed man with an aureole over his head falls out of the sky.
Or: Verso thought that it would all end after he expelled Maelle from the Canvas and put the Soul Fragment to rest. Fate seems to have other ideas. Finding himself somewhere else entirely, he has to deal with the unbearable chains of life weighing on him once more.

Emma pours herself a glass and immediately takes a swig. Her face looks hollow in the dimming light of March.
“It was the second one,” she continues, pressing hard fingers onto the bridge of her nose. “I get to this huge fucking manor, and this lady opens the door, looking down on me like I’m dirt on the bottom of her shoe, right? Refusing to let me in, telling me nothing in there is my business, the works. You know it’s bad when they won’t let you in.”
In which Emma is a social worker, Gustave is a teacher and Alicia learns to live.

Summary
The Paintress is gone; the Curator left. In the aftermath of Lumiere’s battle, Maelle and Verso find a middle ground and promise to give each other closure without harming any more innocents : he will try living a mortal life and she will leave the Canvas.
Maelle helps her late brother’s soul to fix the Fracture's damages and brings people back, giving this world a second chance. She spends her last painted days making the most of Verso’s presence and Gustave’s return, trying to bring them closer with few success. After her departure, both men struggle to settle back in the city and when Verso blurts out the idea of Gustave accompanying him to the Continent, the engineer doesn't take long to accept: after all, he missed a lot of things there, definitely needs a guide... and time away from Lumière.

Summary
Lumière was built on the myth of a perfect divide between the Luminous District and the Obscura Quarter: light here, shadow there.
But when dual‑chroma bodies begin appearing on the Boundary Line, that myth collapses fast.
Gustave is forced to team up with a pale‑eyed stranger who lies like he breathes and moves through the city's cracks as if he was born in them.
The investigation is a spark.
The city is tinder.
The stranger is a wilfdire with a habit of slipping under his skin.
