Summary
Barbatos is born of the wind. He holds no form or memories; he is a wisp born of the wind, like a thousand others. He learns and grows and ascends in the wake of a terrible rebellion and even more terrible loss. He is Barbatos, Anemo Archon, God of Freedom, Protector of Mondstadt. He is Barbatos, friend of Morax, of the Traveler, dare he say even of Master Diluc. He is Venti, the Tone-Deaf Bard, the slacker who has a bigger tab than even Kaeya had amassed at Angel's Share. That is all he is, or is it not?
Morax remembers; he has always remembered even when he had first opened his eyes as a newborn quilin. He remembered as he raged and fought, as he slayed gods and monsters alike, as he became the God of War and later the God of Contracts. He has never forgotten. But Barbatos has; Barbatos has no recollection of their previous life, of their previous entanglment. And perhaps this is a kindness he can offer him, a life free of the memories and mistakes that had ruined their first chance. If only the world was kind enough to allow them such a choice.

Summary
Death is something he had come to be closely acquainted to, yet something that still takes him by surprise. When the plot of PIDW had finished and his story had reached his happy - albeit shameless - ending, Shen Qingqiu had hoped his third death and subsequent revival by the System would be the last. Immortality, having his crybaby demon lord husband and his beloved shidi - that was supposed to be the ending to his story. As a result, when Shen Qingqiu dies a fourth time, he is not amused. Instead, he is enraged. And there is nothing that will stop him from going back to his family, not even death.

Summary
There were cracks in the Burial Mounds, parts were the resentment energy had eaten through rock and stone, leaving open small gateways to the Endless Abyss. It is through one of these cracks that Wei Wuxian falls, the voices of the dead following him, whispering in his ears, resentful energy coalescing in the void that once held his golden core. He falls and falls and falls until he is caught in a surprisingly gently embrace.
Meanwhile, Shen Qingqiu is not having a fun day.

Summary
Shang Qinghua is a bake-tanuki. He is pretty sure he never wrote them as part of Proud Immortal Demon Way but it may be that in some of his caffeine fueled writings, his inner Gehshin impact musings may have made it into PIDW. I mean one of his drafts did involve a complicated crossover in which Binghe uses Xin Mo and accidentally makes it into Teyvat, but he'll be the first to admit that was 1) not one of his best ideas, 2) extremely unsellable and 3) a self-indulgent piece of writing that he sketched when the unholy amounts of papapa that paid his rent got to his nerves. But we digress; Shang Qinghua was a bake-tanuki and had been ever since he had found himself transmigrated in his own novel. Which would have been hilarious if it were not pathetic instead.

Summary
The first settlements of Fontaine fell under the swords and bows of the many bandits around it. The banks of the rivers ran red with blood and the bodies of many villagers were thrown unceremoniously in their waters, half dead and half alive, doomed to a slower death by drowning.
And at one point the Sea says enough. Aias does not know the names of all the humans She had cradled in her arms, all the innocent victims that She had plucked from the embrace of Death and settled them back on the banks of their Rivers as newly minted Gods, eyes blazing bright blue and water now a weapon to wield at their own discretion, to take revenge and protect as they will.

There was a time when Childe was a River God. When the Archon Wars brought even more devastation to his lands he became the Hydro Archon and held his seat in Celestia until the Cataclysm came. He died in the arms of his lover and was later reincarnated with no memories and no clue as to who he had been.Meanwhile Zhongli remembered. He never forgot. Lan Zhan finds himself returning the smile. “Go home,” he urges gently, because it’s cold, and Wei Ying does not look like he’s dressed warmly enough to be out in the streets like this.
Wei Ying’s smile dims. “A-Ying sleeps here when it’s cold,” he tells Lan Zhan. “When it’s summer, A-Ying likes to stay by the pond!”
Lan Zhan frowns, looking at the alley around them. His stomach churns at the thought of leaving Wei Ying there. “Has Wei Ying eaten?”

Summary
It starts like this.
A hand clutching at his own, warm and loving, as someone ruffles his hair.
"Be good, A-Ying." His mother presses a kiss to his forehead, giving him a smile that seemed to light up the world. "We'll be back soon."
And those words morph into the hurt that comes with being a forgotten one, with only broken promises as his company.
It is like the chill that comes from losing a golden core, that is almost reminiscent to the coldest of winters in the streets of Yiling, and it is like the hunger in his gut, insaitable, feral, a wild fire that cannot be curbed.
He can only watch, time after again, as he loses those he loves.
And he wonders if this is the price for going down a heretic path, for his arrogance and naivety.
("you bring ruin to everyone you love.")
In the end, he is always left behind.
