Summary
On the fifth night of their involuntary tadpole misadventure together, Monster Hunter Inara (Tav) clashes with the realm's most obvious vampire when he tries to take a clandestine bite of her. But as with every plan Astarion had come up in his unlife so far, it contains one step only. So what if this gremlin vampire cat actually is forced to face and deal with the consequences of his bite-y actions? Chaos and hilarity ensues, of course.
Or, tfw Astarion has slurped up the only person in camp willing to help him in spite of his vampie... everything, and now has to find a way to bring Inara back. Ideally before the others in camp wake up and bring out the stakes and torches.
A character-focused, introspective version of Bite Night and its events beyond with its serial numbers filed off, because canon is just a guideline anyway, and thus goes way beyond the mere scene. Because perhaps in between the hunger, flailing, misconceptions and bickering a first understanding between Inara and Astarion can be gained. One that actually transcended lifetimes.

Summary
For the first time that either of them can remember, Astarion and Tav are happy. With the Netherbrain defeated and their worst enemies vanquished, they finally have time to live their lives like regular people. Sure, there are friends to visit, family to search for, and that whole pesky sunlight problem, but overall, life is good. Things are just about perfect until the day that a vampire shows up on the couple’s doorstep in broad daylight claiming to be Astarion. This version of the beloved vampire, though, went through with ascending.

Summary
I wrote this based on my partner's and my Dark Urge semi-evil playthrough. The story was interesting, if not dark, to see unfold.
This story is an Astarion POV shift of the playthrough, as I have always understood his motivations and personality better than anyone else in the game. Even with it being a dark run, he never questioned my Tav's love.
The story is based around the parts away from the main missions because I didn't want to rehash the missions, and if I wrote the entire game in full, I would be here for years. But I reference the missions in order to give an idea of what we did and how we dealt with him. I cut and pasted some of the dialogue options together to make conversations, as there is some truly amazing writing done by Larian that I wanted to showcase. So I have taken some and put them in other places, or used all the dialog options to create a longer conversation.I hope you enjoy the antics of Astarion and Lilith's shenanigans while he tries to understand the mysterious, strange, dark Bard with the cold smile

“I.. Me..?” you managed to get out a few words.
The pale vampire was still standing before you, staring at you through a monitor, his usual confident demeanor shattered by a vulnerability you had never witnessed in him before. He chuckled with a sad expression. “I just wanted to talk to you for a bit. The real you. Not the one you control with your incantations.”
You were taken aback, sitting frozen in disbelief. A game character, Astarion himself, was acknowledging you, expressing genuine appreciation for your intervention.
You were still reeling from the shock of -whats supposed to be- a bunch of pixels, addressing you, as if you were a real person.As if *he* was a real person.
