“Very interesting,” says Megatron, optics fixed on Ambulon. “Medical suite of titanium instead of tungsten carbide, chassis adorned with three central access ports, and paintwork with thick welts of Decepticon purple. If I were to put a date on you, I would surmise you were one of my third-issue medics for Split Infinitives.”

Ambulon feels his face-plate heat, feels his core temperature rise with sudden anger.

“Not yours for quite some time," Ambulon says.

What do you get when you mix an Autobot CMO with a Constructicon's 'die if you want for all I care' attitude? The biggest blowup in medical history.

When the Decepticons, desperate for somebot who actually knows how to do repairs, kidnap Ratchet, he's fairly sure this is the end. At least until he sees how their medic, Hook, treats patients. With rescue pushed far from his processor, Ratchet sets to teaching the smug perfectionist proper medical procedure by hook or by crook, dragging the rest of his gestalt along with him.

    Summary

The man was tall. Slim in the chest, but with shoulders that gladly filled out the tactical clothing under his tac vest. The collar of his shirt ended just under his jaw, made all the more stark by the contrast of thick, silver hair above. There were a half-dozen weapons hidden on his person. His boots were reinforced at the toe and heel, the leather combat-grade and a deep, telltale black.

Alfred Pennyworth walked down the center of the aisle, well-aware of the attention he’d garnered and entirely indifferent to it.

    Summary

So people like me? The average Joe whose granddad wasn’t exposed to experimental radiation or fell into a toxic river, or was born under the star or Orias or something? We’re the soap bubbles. The thin paper people who still get torn, punctured, burned, and broken when not handled with care.

It sucks. But that’s also true of life. So it's not a huge deal.

It just means you have to be smart.

I'm Robert Robertson the Third, and I'm Mecha Man.
