    He isn't stupid. He’s tried to stop this "fugue state" from happening. He has a good handle on it, most of the time. Yes, he carries a stuffed animal everywhere with him and sure, he sometimes forgets he has a quirk, but it's all entirely under control. Really.

    As for Kacchan, well. He’s been strangely understated about the whole issue. Suspiciously so. Izuku isn’t one to push back against acceptance, though, no matter the circumstances, so he leaves it alone.

    If it were a problem, Kacchan would have told him, after all.

    Though this was hardly the first time Izuku had ended up in the wrong bed at the wrong time, it was the first time he’d be forced into the guardianship of Pro Hero Eraserhead because of it.

    Basically, Midoriya Inko dies while Izuku is still young, and after a string of bad to worse foster parents he runs away, tragically learning that the streets are even crueler than the homes he was escaping from.
    Years later, after barely surviving life as Overhaul's toy and pawn; Midoriya’s already terrible luck takes a swift downward spiral when a new, powerful underworld client starts demanding more of his time. But just when all seems lost, an act of goodwill and a sudden raid on a villain base saves Izuku, and the powers that be decide he knows too much to let him back into the general population.

    Their solution?

    Enroll him into UA High School alongside his best ex-bully, 19 other superpowered teenagers, an inconvenient crush, and a truly horrendous sense of self preservation.

    Looks like it’ll be a wild ride from here.

    (Also, Midoriya has a warped version of his mother’s attraction quirk, which complicates things so much further.)
