But Jon wouldn’t want someone like him, he was probably a Dominant Alpha, he was freaking Superman! Surely he wouldn’t want someone like Damian as his Alpha. So Damian put distance between them….

Dick finds an omega being attacked in an alley in Bludhaven, and with no other option, he takes the omega to his nearest safehouse and starts making plans for how to adopt the homeless boy.
Jason is saved by Nightwing and whisked away, but...at least Nightwing is promising to feed him and keep him safe. Jason could do worse than Nightwing for a mate, and he certainly couldn't do any better. Besides, it's not like he has a choice.

One night while partnered up on a stakeout, Damians constant cruelty finally becomes too much for Tim. He flies into a rage and strangles the other boy to death with his bare hands. He regrets his actions the moment Damians body has gone cold but is too afraid of his family's rejection to confess. He covers up his involvement, pinning Damians murder on some random thugs.
Then he watches the family he killed to secure his place in irrevocably change as they grieve and he stews in his own guilt.

When the assignment goes sideways and the smugglers turn psychotic, they have to survive a brutal storm, motion sickness, and each other.Post-Bruce coming back from the dead, Dick leaving his Robin, and all the abandonment issues Damian got from that.
