“Lumi...ne.” Xiao’s broken voice called out by her ear, but it was too late. Together, they plunged into darkness.
Just before being swallowed by the abyss, Xiao summoned the last of his strength, pulled her into his arms, and spread his wings, those blue-black feathers enveloping them both.
Lumine froze momentarily at the soft, slightly itchy sensation against her skin. Beneath the flickering moonlight, she saw her blood slowly staining Xiao’s clean feathers a glaring shade of red.

As she fell, she saw his bloodied mouth with sharp fangs aiming directly at her neck.
On the other side, Xiao was surrounded by resentful spirits and karmic debt, his breath ragged, witnessing Lumine about to be attacked. He decided to unleash all his remaining energy and charge forward, disregarding the claws that were tearing at his body. His white clothes were shredded, blood pouring from his wounds, but he didn’t stop.

Summary
Lumine and Xiao accidentally entangled themselves in a mysterious incident deep within the Abyss. Just when they thought everything had drawn to a close, a chain of bizarre events continuously unfolded. Out of nowhere, she was dragged into a different timeline, a place where Xiao completely failed to recognize her. Stranded all alone in Liyue during the era of the Archon War, she had to face countless monsters pouring out from the Abyss, along with the deep traumas that the war inflicted upon the people.
Mysterious voices, peculiar dreams, blood-stained battles, and an Inteyvat flower of unknown origin... it seemed as though Lumine had been intentionally brought to this place by some entity. That being was searching for something within this age of chaos, and more importantly, they seemingly desired to seize possession of her body.
Yet what bewildered Lumine the most was... for some unknown reason, why did she find that very soul so strangely familiar?
