It was probably stupid to go out with him again. But, Aemond could suffer through one more evening with Luke if that made this easier. If he didn't agree to it, he would have to spend the next week anxious about Luke calling him or, Seven forbid, showing up to his place. It was easier to keep the peace until Aemond left for King's Landing.
One more date, and then he was back to King's Landing and there would be miles and miles between him and Luke.
Luke was just supposed to be a summer fling. Unfortunately, for Aemond, Luke didn't see it that way.

Lucerys and his family are called to King's Landing by the Queen to participate in one such queer custom: Aemond's mating run. In which, an omega in heat is released into the woods to nest and then alphas are released to hunt them down.
The only problem is: no alpha has been strong enough to claim their uncle. Alicent hopes that the blood of the dragon will appeal to her omega son more.
Lucerys has doubts about that.

Summary
The Will of Fire presents itself in any number of ways. Putting your life on the line for the village, for example. Reaching your full potential as a Shinobi through rigorous study and training is another good one. Annoying the shit out of Genma. Catching that brat that keeps leaving frogs in the ANBU lockers. These are all worthwhile and admirable goals.
OR Some random Chunin is being evaluated for induction into the ANBU black ops despite being wholly unqualified. Hatake Kakashi is responsible for the evaluating, though he's also probably unqualified if we're being totally honest.
Pretty much all the kakairu-specific tropes haphazardly mashed into one poorly written fic
