Summary
It's been three weeks since Bang Chan and Jeongin followed Seungmin into a cave and saw their friend transform into a mythical beast. Yet, they haven't addressed the elephant in the room since, despite saying they had questions and wanted to talk about it.
Seungmin has a hard time navigating their interactions; they act painfully normal and nice to him, like nothing happened. But one thing is different: they don't hug him or touch him at all, a stark contrast from their usual way of acting around him.
Seungmin is sure they hate him.

“Seungmin?”
Seungmin freezes, Jeongin’s voice is so close. The younger man sounds tentative, careful. Seungmin’s chest feels like it’s going to crack open, like his heart is withering. This cannot be happening, not now, not them. Not when he’d worked so hard to handle this by himself. When he looks up at Jeongin, it’s Chan who is right behind him. Shit, of course it is.
Chan’s eyes widen as he takes in the scene before him, the glinting metal around Seungmin's neck and the long shadows cast by the small light near the stone wall.
“You shouldn’t- you can’t be here,” Seungmin spits out, voice trembling. “Please, go. You can’t- Please just go home!”

After 8 years, the members of Stray Kids know each other inside and out. Well, almost.
Seungmin has managed to keep one vital fact a secret from his friends: Each full moon, he scurries away to a mine deep in the forest in the dark cover of the night, where he chains himself up like the beast he is and rides out the transformation. All alone, just like he deserves.
But this night, someone follows Seungmin, and he doesn't realise until it's too late.

Seungmin has managed for so many years, managed to keep the beast suppressed and hide his biggest shame from his closest friends and band mates. He can’t even imagine what would happen if they figured out he’s a monster in sheep’s clothing. It would be a disaster.
Seungmin has gone to great lengths to avoid being found out, but not even his meticulous planning can account for the fact that his friends care about him, are somewhat observant and that some of them are way noisier than they need to be.
Jeongin senses something is wrong, and convinces Chan that they should follow Seungmin, it just so happens to be the night of the full moon. Oh well.
