"Are you asking me how to impress someone?" He finally asked. "Is that what's happening here?"
Hunter's features contorted uncomfortably, but he managed another strained laugh. "Sure, yeah, something like that. Figured it'd be an interesting hypothetical discussion, I dunno."
Darius ignored that. "Who do you want to impress?"
Every muscle in the boy's frame clenched. "I said hypothetical!" He spluttered, the slightest pink twinge to his cheekbones.
Yes, because that reaction was absolutely warranted for a hypothetical discussion.

Summary
Hunter hasn’t been sleeping well.
I mean, none of them have been, if the pitter patter of Luz’s footsteps crossing the hall into her mother’s room was any sort of give away, although Gus and Amity seemed to be having the most success thus far. They’re good at exhausting themselves into relatively peaceful nights, and Hunter can’t help but feel a little jealous because it seemed no matter how tired he was, nothing was sufficient enough to drag him into the world of unconsciousness. He’s just been so wrapped up in his head about so many things. Overwhelming thoughts of protect, protect, protect, scenes of his uncle – of Belos – splattering against the wall into a blackened puddle of tar replaying in his mind, and that sharp, paralyzing fear over a new realm about which they were all completely and utterly helpless to… when the sun went down and the moon came up, it all swarmed him without rest.
So without rest he went.

Summary
Luz has somehow found her old Grudgby captain jacket, and has decided to put it on. Amity’s heart literally stops.
Seeing Luz in her clothes is too much for her, she feels like she’s ready to pass out. She wants to thank whatever Gods look over them for the opportunity to experience such a heavenly sight. Back when she was still in the team, seeing a cute girl wearing her jacket had been one of her fantasies, one she kept close to her heart and never dared to say out loud.
She never expected it to come true. And she especially didn’t expect to ever see Luz in it.
Or, in which Luz finds Amity's old Grudgby jacket and Amity swears this crush will be the death of her.

Summary
Willow exhaled, resting her temple against the glass and closed her eyes. Hunter didn’t believe for a second that she would fall asleep, as her body remained coiled with tension.
“He just...” She whispered. “...wanted to see this world so much.”
Hunter could see it in that smile, in those weary eyes, hear it in her heavy voice.
Willow was absorbing Gus’s burdens to lighten his load. It was quite possible she was doing the same with everyone who surrounded her.
This left her own burdens neglected.
He understood how it felt to devote your entire self to the monsters that plagued the life of someone else. It withered away every fragment of yourself that belonged solely to you.
“Like you wanted to see the rain.” Hunter reminded her.
It must be a little bittersweet for Willow too.
(The kids' first night in Camila Noceda's home. A late night conversation between Hunter and Willow, a pair of insomniacs who aren't very good at talking about how all of this is affecting them.)
