Summary
Gojo sat there for a time, absently running his fingers over the bumps and ridges of the skull. This skull was female, according to its rounder eye sockets and less prominent brow bone. There was a faint, faint echo of cursed energy still clinging to it: residuals left over from a long-dead sorcerer or curse user. This person had been powerful. Some kind of cursed speech user, but the echo of positive cursed energy meant they could self-heal their throat even as it was torn by their own power. Nearly invulnerable, like he himself was.
That hadn’t saved them. Hadn’t saved any of the people who’d been imprisoned here. Invulnerability couldn’t save people from themseves.(Gojo is stuck in the prison realm with nothing but his own thoughts and the skeletons of his predecessors for company. It goes about as well as you'd expect. Then he finds a way out, but the world he stumbles into isn't his own. Not even close.)

Artemis surveyed him critically. Those poems her brother had written mentioned this mortal’s handsome features, waxing on about his piercing eyes and sharp jawline; honestly, she didn’t really see it.
Maybe it was unfair to judge him in this condition. Dried blood stained his chin and lips, and matted his blonde hair towards the back and side. A nasty bruise swelled on his jaw, turning his face all sorts of interesting colors. That probably brought down his attractiveness by several points, she figured. Still, she didn’t see what her brother clearly saw. The arrows were clearly the coolest thing about him.
Whatever, no accounting for taste. She nudged him with her foot. He didn’t move.
With a sigh, she bent down and pressed two fingers to his carotid artery.
He wasn’t dead.
Great.
She pulled back and grabbed her phone—a battered Nokia that had, quite literally, been to Hades and back—from her jacket pocket and dialed her little brother’s number.

He sat in the driver’s seat and shut the door, cutting off the kid's response. The engine turned smoothly and soon he was easing onto the street. At least that hothead had done him the courtesy of leaving a decent car.
Within minutes he was speeding down an empty highway. He turned and picked up the file he’d gotten from Mrs. Davis, flipping through the pages.
“That’s so unsafe. You’re not even looking at the road right now.” A slightly raspy voice came from behind him.
"What the--"

Yoon Soo-Hyun is just minutes too late to prevent Kim Ga-On from attacking Do Yung-Choon outside the courthouse.
Kim Ga-On spends three years in prison and is released during the worst of the economic crisis. Unable to find “honest” work, he gets a job as an escort.
Kang Yo-Han hates people, especially in large groups, where they crowd him and make suggestive comments. An escort, he finds, makes an excellent shield against some of the more persistent and inappropriate people he’s forced to socialize with. Escorts follow rules and expectations, at least until he meets Kim Ga-On, who burns with rage underneath his polite exterior and keeps insulting the Foundation’s Directors in a way that’s just subtle enough that they don’t notice – but Kang Yo-Han does, and instantly senses a kindred spirit.

Shen Wei isn’t really very clear on what Zhao Yunlan and his colleagues do with the majority of their time. Obviously some of it is spent on investigations, and presumably the paperwork that comes of them. Some must be spent on training, and miscellaneous administrative details. But beyond that, he really has no sense of their professional lifestyle. Partially, this is because when they’re together, Zhao Yunlan doesn’t want to talk about work. Often he’s tired, sometimes hurt, and Shen Wei focuses on the health of both his soul and his body with hearty warming meals and the reassurance his own body can offer pressed to Zhao Yunlan’s.
Or: Shen Wei takes care of Zhao Yunlan after his return from a soul-tarnishing case.
