Ilya pauses, and runs the words through his head, not sure if hes confused because of the alcohol or because the English language is just so fucking stupid. “What the fuck is that? Baby trapping? You get a baby stuck somewhere?”
Hayes laughs, loud and bright as Barrett goes to answer, completely cuddled up against Harris, “Nah dude it's like, you're forced into coparenting the kid, the kid is what keeps you guys together, even if you don't like each other. You do it for the kid.”
Ilya gives a confused hum, switching from person to person to see if someone can explain.
“Hayes continues, “Like when omegas poke holes in the condoms! And just sabotage you guys’ to have a baby.”
Ilya ohhhs in understanding, and outright laughs with everyone, “Thats fucking insane!”

Shane Hollander isn’t great at asking for what he wants, lucky for him, Ilya is great at giving him whatever he wants.

“Olesya.”
“Oh-lee-syah,” Shane repeated slowly, making sure he pronounced it right. “What… what are you going to do?”
“I don’t know,” Ilya said, resting his head in his hand. “I don’t fucking know.”
Shane’s voice was steady. “What can I do?”
How long had it been since someone offered to help Ilya? He took care of his family, carried his brother’s financial burdens, tended his own injuries, paid his way through life without aid. The question, softly spoken and rich with genuine intent, was enough to bring tears to his eyes. Could he really trust it? Could he ask someone for help?
For once, he wanted to try.OR: Ilya is left with sudden custody of Alexei's daughter and calls Shane to help.

Summary
Shane's breath catches on a sob, and he muffles the sound with his hand. Everything feels like too much. He’s naked, and he can feel entirely too much on his body, inside his body, and he hates how it's starting to feel gross. His head is pounding, and he can't even focus on placating his mind when his lungs are also screaming in his throat for breath.
Ilya hears, and his hands reach out to hold Shane, tension lying in every part of his body. “Shane—”
“Don't touch me,” Shane snaps, more desperation than yelling as he rips his arm out of Ilyas's grasp. His tears have nowhere to go now, and they finally spill over, hot and humiliating, down his cheeks.
Ilya freezes in place, hand hovering mid-air. A myriad of emotions flicker across his face: confusion, hurt, fear. Ilya takes an unconscious step back like someone shoved him. His body curls in on itself, trying to make himself appear smaller.
He looks... terrified. Like, Shane just called him a monster, and he believes it.
OR: inspired by the fight in the long game when ilya had told shane he could have sex with other men because he did not believe in cheating.
