    The worst part is, he doesn’t even remember all of it.— Just enough.

    The kiss. Arthur’s mouth, warm against his own. The breathless moans pulled from his throat. The way it felt like he was drunk — but even without the potion that caused all of this, Merlin knew one touch from Arthur would make him feel like he'd spent two whole weeks drinking in the tavern.

    And flashes of what came next.
    Enough to know that this time, he truly fucked up.
    So when he wakes, naked in his king’s bed, Merlin does the only thing he can — he grabs his clothes and runs.
    He barely makes it to Gaius’s chambers, disheveled and panicked, only to find the old man already holding the book Merlin now realizes — far too late — he mistranslated.
    And in that moment, it hits him. There is no undoing this.

    “Merlin,” Gaius says, voice low “pack your things. Go as far away as you can."
    “You’re carrying His Majesty’s child.”

    Or

    Arthur was being too much, and Merlin—a clumsy fool—mistranslated an ancient text and brewed a potion meant to calm His Majesty, only to end up pregnant with the king’s child instead.
