Summary
Kaveh is left reeling as his mother suddenly renounces her position as queen while she's away, and threats to his life are coming from everywhere, knowing deep down it could be from someone he knows. If he didn't have Alhaitham, he doesn't know what would have happened to him.
Meanwhile, Alhaitham grapples with his growing fondness of Prince Kaveh. As the end to the mystery draws closer and closer, he continues to protect Kaveh from the attempts on his life, unaware that he is protecting him from the very same thing he too once came to do, and he can't hide it forever.

Summary
Kaveh and Alhaitham have an arrangement. They spend their respective heats and ruts together, and they both profit from shortening their time off and getting back to usual. No strings attached. At least, it's supposed to be, until lines begin to blur, scents mixing more and more, and at last, something breaks and they cross a line that can't ever be taken back.
On Kaveh's neck is a fresh bite mark. Alhaitham walks away, leaving Kaveh in the room, alone.
