Anyway! Jerks aside, Chad loved the attention. He was born to be under the spotlight, and there wasn’t an Alpha or Beta that could ruin it for him! He was better off with weaklings like them; they weren’t what he needed.
But then there was Robert.
Robert, who didn’t flinch, left the gym unimpressed when Chad hooked his fingers in the V of his neckline and pulled the suit enough to reveal his happy trail. That was rude as fuck!

Jaskier smells like honey and oak. And something else, though, Geralt isn't certain what that is.
It was fairly common knowledge that witchers had heightened senses. Some people, perhaps, exaggerated the fact. They made claims that were not true for the sake of perpetuating the hunter’s reputations. A claim that they made that was true? Witchers could smell fear . . . and every other emotion.
And Geralt was not the average witcher, at all. He was changed more so than anyone from his school. Than any other witcher he’d ever met. His eyes were sharper, ears heard more, taste and touch would often overwhelm him if he didn’t have such control of himself . . . and then there was smell.

“What are you doing?!” He hisses. He tries to pull away, but Chad’s hands come up firm on his hips.
“Why don’t you go focus on work, huh? You’re still on the clock.” Chad winks, and then he’s hooking his fingers into the string of Robert’s sweatpants.
He really shouldn’t indulge this behavior. He should stand up, smack Chad upside the head, and then lock himself in the guest room until he’s sure he isn’t about to get groped by his not-boyfriend.
What he does instead is he turns back to his computer and un-mutes his mic.

Summary
We need everyone available, he remembered that slobbered-up cat say, a tiny, cheeky smile on his face that everyone on the team just knew was his "don't worry, I'll be fine" expression. It would have worked, honestly, if Robert wasn't talking to a bunch of colorful assholes that constantly had their noses up each other's businesses.
They tried to get him to stay. Honest, they did. But then Robert just patted his shoulder like he was gonna go out to get coffee and not throw himself into a nearly catastrophic cesspool of carnage.
And he knew it was a lie damn it. Knew that switch inside Robert's head. Once he gets back into that... that Mecha Man skin, it would have been difficult to take him out of Hero Mode.
