Summary
"Just—take it, man,” Dean forces out. Spots dance behind his eyelids.
“‘Take it?’” Cas asks.
Dean white-knuckles Cas’s warm hands, using the wall to press bruises into his own skin. "What you need,” he says. "Just take what you need.”
(dean doesn't want this. he doesn't.)

"Forgive me, Dean,” Cas says, breath hot against Dean’s ear. "You’re so beautiful. I can’t resist you.”
Briefly, Dean wonders what his dad would think if he saw this, Dean half-naked and being kissed within an inch of his life by another man, bucking up against a strong hand, struggling against a grip so tight it raised him from perdition. He concludes with relish that even John Winchester wouldn’t be able to find fault in him in this situation, caged in as he is by one of the strongest beings on earth. The only thing Dad could admonish him for is that he was caught without a weapon—he’s gotten soft in his domesticity. A hunter should always have a weapon within reach, even in his own kitchen.

He can't explain it. One day, Arthur's swinging a mace at the boy with the big ears and red neckerchief and the next, he's tackling a man twice his size for having the audacity to look at Merlin wrong.
Or, Arthur protects Merlin over and over, falling a little more in love each time.
“You’re the only person in the world that I think really sees me Merlin.” Arthur confesses. "Forgive me then, for wishing harm on the people who would hurt you for just being who you are.”

Arthur flies out the tent without a thought, throwing an arm out in front of Merlin with no hesitation. The blade pierces through his chainmail, he can feel it draw blood, but only just. The knife sticks out his arm and he pulls it out with a hiss, glowering. He flicks it to the ground, staining the grass red.
Ian pales. He stumbles backwards. “My lord, I-”
Arthur ignores him, he turns around, taking the shield from Merlin’s hands and throwing it aside. “Did he get you anywhere?” he asks, eyes roaming Merlin’s body.
“No, I’m fine, but your arm-” alarms ring in Merlin’s eyes and Arthur can’t help the soft smile that pierces through the glare.
“You worry too much.” He says before he faces Ian and the recruits once more.
(Wait this one was insane)

Tony laughs all of the sudden, shaking his head slightly. Peter has the weirdest feeling it’s directed at him. “What?” he asks, only slightly defensive.
Tony laughs more. “Nothing. It’s nothing. I’m just remembering that you broke into my place and then tried to offer to buy me a new couch.”
“Hey!” Peter defends, “I was stabbed and I was tired and in my defense, you have the exact same apartments!” a beat and then, “And I totally would’ve bought you a new couch.” he mumbles.
“Still. Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous.” Tony teases, “But! Can’t say I minded.”
(I read this years ago and completely forgot about it but omg it was brilliant I love them so much)

Bookmarker's Notes
What had Arthur ever done for Merlin to choose him over the world? To be rich, to be powerful, to have status, to have everything at the edge of your fingertips, Sigan offered every man’s desires on a platter and Merlin…Merlin picked servitude. For Arthur. For the prince he was, the King he would become, and for the man he is. Heart heavy, Arthur knows that he, in all his glory and burdened with his flaws, could not nearly compare to all of that. For all that he thinks highly of himself, Merlin thinks him higher.

Summary
“What did you do now Merlin?”
“Got cursed.”
Merlin slumped into the room and fell onto the bench of the table across from Gaius, laying his head dramatically on a book of something or other Arthur didn’t bother to look too closely at.
“Cursed.” Gaius echoed, unimpressed.
“Cursed.” Merlin sighed back, like some kind of weepy maiden.
“He can’t lie,” Arthur supplied, walking further into the room and standing behind Merlin, pushing his head off the book roughly. Merlin squawked and glared at him before shaking his head and turning back to Gaius.
"It gets worse."
