Especially since the girlfriend in question turned out to be a sweetheart and, on top of that, an extrovert.

“Are you sure, Dames? Nobody odd coming to mind at all?” Dick switched the projector off, looking at Damian with curiosity.
Unfortunately for Damian, an image flickered in his head, something he thought he had already forgotten since it was such a fleeting moment. He closed his eyes, turning away from his siblings. There was a gala, months ago, where a stranger had caught his eye: a woman from Paris who he later found out was a fashion designer now based in Gotham. His gut feeling told him that there was just a certain vibe, an aura he couldn’t quite explain that enveloped that woman.
It didn’t help that they had locked eyes for a second; he swore that her eyes shouldn’t be able to glow that brightly.
Damian felt fingers on the tip of his ear. “Warm ears? Red ears?” He could hear the smirk in Cass’ tone.
And when he opened his eyes, the rest were just gawking at him.
“Oh. My. Gosh.” Stephanie brought up a hand to her mouth. “Is it a celebrity crush?”

As far as Damian remembered, they were only gossiping about celebrities. How the hell did they end up unearthing something more?
