Summary
For the past six years, Astarion has focused on shaping the new lease on life he was gifted by his friends on his eighteenth birthday.
In his journey of self discovery and acceptance, there's one thing he still struggles with: The ever persistent crush on on Best Friend. The man that grew up with him from an early age was quick to accept Astarion for who he was, and stayed with him through the good and the bad. Even if that meant letting him go so he could be free of his abusive family.
Through trials, tribulations, and the unfortunate constraints of college, work, and overall growing up they two of them have been kept apart. At least, physically. Ever since that night as the bus station their phones were never given a rest.
You can take the best friend from the town, but you can never that the best friend from the Best Friend.
This year, old friends reunite to celebrate themselves, each other, and everyone traversing their own personal struggles.

Summary
Settling himself against the counter, arm wrapped around his stomach, he watched as Gale idly set up the station to his liking. He admired how he took the time to take note of where things were in this little kitchen, muttering to himself as he took mental inventory of things he may or may not need, depending on what the recipe for the evening was.
It was charming, watching Gale in what Astarion could only assume was the man’s natural habitat. There was a calm that seemed to take over the other. An easy sort of mood radiated from the other while he donned the apron offered, taking a moment to redo his hair into that usual half bun Astarion rather enjoyed. It was the way those shorter strands would sometimes slip free, hanging just above his eyes. The sight of them had Astarion’s hand twitching, fighting the urge to reach out and brush them from the man’s forehead.
The middle of a cooking class was not the time nor place to test temptation.

Summary
"Hold onto me, love." Gale looked up at the elf, eyes heavily lidded and cheeks flushed, "I will not stop until the only thing you remember is my name."
The sight nearly took Astarion’s breath away. Gale was a vision on his knees, stray strands of hair sticking to his forehead and the sides of his face, the way those dark eyes burned with resolve as droplets of water trickled down his face.
The last semester had kept Gale and Astarion apart; they focused on the pursuit of knowledge rather than the pursuit of each other. Now that finals were over and Midwinter break had begun, they were more than eager to take respite in one another. But how they go about it has left them scrambling.

Summary
“Watch out, Astarion, there’s mistletoe above your head.”
He glances up in the same moment that Gale stumbles gracelessly into him, Astarion’s arms coming up automatically to catch Gale without even thinking. There’s indeed mistletoe above them, held in Shadowheart’s wiggling fingers, her wretched face smirking down at them from the stairway with both her brows raised.
A challenge, it seems.
