Though now with her sister being sent off to camp for the summer, Alejandra is going to have to find alternative hobbies to keep her occupied.

She turned around. Three witches and a grimwalker, tired, bruised, and strewn upon the muddy grass, looked to her. What they were looking for, she didn’t know. For guidance, reassurance, a reaction, something. She could manage no words to say. Cold rain filled the space where a heartening speech or a plan of action should’ve been.
They lost.
She lost.
The emperor was defeated, the Day of Unity stopped, and somehow she was still here, thrown and sealed out of the only world she’d ever loved.
