What would have happened if the Straw Hats never made it to Enies Lobby to save Robin?
With no luck breaking the archaeologist, the World Government makes one last effort to get her to spill her knowledge. Unfortunately for Nami, this effort involves her. After being abducted by Nero and Jabra of CP-9, her well-being becomes reliant on Robin doing the government's bidding. As expected, the archaeologist will stop at nothing to keep her crewmate safe.

Summary
It is no secret how quickly Princess Azula goes through handmaids. And so when Suyin takes up the position after the previous handmaid left the palace in tears, she doesn't expect her employment to be a particularly long one. But warmth and friendship soon take root in the cracks of the princess' facade, piercing through a loneliness she hadn't even realised existed.
Mostly canon compliant, but with fluctuations to and from canon, side plots, and divergent character motivations. Significant canon divergence post Book 3 of ATLA (not yet published). This fic serves as a character study for Azula, and explores daily life in the Fire Nation beginning before her introduction in the show.
