A knife wedged deep Blue’s humerus, sleek and dripping viscous red. Cracks scattered upward across the bone like fractals until it disappeared under his dented shoulder pad. Distinct rattling echoed under layers of protective gear.
Horror leaned closer.
“Do you enjoy this?”

Player stared at the unconscious criminal folded like spaghetti on the floor. “Bramble, what if I boiled you. Or steamed you. Air fried you, even.”
Static started snickering.
The way Bramble’s grin immediately dropped into an ‘oh shit’ would’ve been hilarious if Player wasn’t so busy chasing him out the door. “We had ONE RULE! ONE RULE, JACKASS!”

After getting their previous job blown up by villains, Player decides to dip into the life of vigilantism with nothing but a frying pan and a heart full of spite. Summary
Sometimes, you wonder if this was worth it. If any of this was worth it.
Traveling back in time… it was a risky thing to do. At the moment, it’d seemed like the only way, and maybe it still is.
But the three swords on your back certainly aren’t helping anything, and at one point you have to stop and wonder when everything started to feel so... numb.
AKA I wanted more Player angst so I smacked my hands on my keyboard and produced some sort of slow, hurt/comfort sickfic with copious amounts of suffering

He always made it a point to eat the players last, in some twisted way he enjoyed them. He didn't care about them, he had to make that clear. But he liked the company they brought. The smiles, the laughter, the questions both brilliant and dumb that would be asked. They were funny little creatures, so trusting. He liked them enough not to immediately pounce.
Verity would keep the facade of helpfulness and a bright attitude, until they started noticing the villagers going missing. Until there was no one left, but them. When they began to question him, when they started to pull away, that was when he’d strike.
He was still waiting for this one to pull away.
