Summary
During the time loop, Lovelace develops a new obsession: watching the man who shot her in the head pace around the brig, biding his time and waiting for his moment. He scares her more now than he did before the mutiny, but to her dawning horror, it's not just fear that draws her to him.
As Day 1093 plays out repeatedly, for over two months, Lovelace fantasises about using the daily reset to hold him at gunpoint and take what she wants from him, without consequences. When the loop snaps, and time returns to normal, she's left frustrated by the loss of something she's never dared to take.
But is it still possible Kepler will play along with her fantasies, given the right incentive? And how can she ever not hate herself if he does?

Summary
During the solar flares before the Contact Event, both Jacobi and Kepler are cloned. With no way to tell which are the clones and which the originals, they turn to the Tiamat Logs for guidance:
"They all think they're the original—they *always* think they're the original—but... no. Even though they all have the same memories, there's some slight differences. Shorter tempers, manic periods, that sort of thing. It's like each iteration brings out a different angle of the original person."
When one of the Jacobis and one of the Keplers end up having sex, the other two are left to watch the footage supplied by Hera, and to ponder whether this is proof of the expected personality drift, or simply two originals taking comfort in each other after a traumatic event...

Summary
Kepler begins to realise just how irrelevant he is to Goddard Futuristics. Take his job away, deny him his precious 'bigger picture', and the one thing that's left for him to believe in is protecting a man who hates him: Daniel Jacobi, currently fitted with a restraining bolt and at the mercy of the sadistic Victor Riemann. Unfortunately, the only way to protect Jacobi is to take his place, and Riemann has a reputation for breaking his toys.
Written for Bottom Kepler Week 2026, for the prompt 'mind control'. Please read the tags, as this has some pretty dark themes, even if I don't show it all.

With a smug smirk, Riemann tilted up Jacobi's jaw. “What do you say, then, Mr. Jacobi? Want to give me a kiss?”
“Sure, Mr. Riemann!” The unnatural smile never left Jacobi's face as he leaned in and pressed his lips to Riemann's. Riemann kept eye contact with Kepler the whole fucking time.
Kepler didn't realise he was moving until he'd slammed Riemann against the wall, inserting himself between the two men. “Get your filthy hands off him.”

Kepler groaned against his lips as Jacobi kissed him, hot and hard. It was always a wonder to Jacobi that just after the end of a mission, he'd become so wonderfully biddable, as though he needed to throw off the commander role and become the exact opposite.
