Ilya Rozanov of the Ottawa Centaurs was taken off the ice unconscious and transported to the local hospital.
The ambulance pulled into the ER bay at Ottawa General, Beth the nurse on duty had already been informed who was in the ambulance. Not a huge hockey fan but even she knew who Ilya Rozanov was.
“Bay 7” Beth tells the men wheeling the stretcher, as one of them shoves paperwork into her hands.
One thing Beth likes about pro athletes is when they come to the hospital it is usually with paperwork and an attending physician. Beth flips through the pages until she finds what she is looking for.
Emergency contact number. Beth looked at the number and frowned. It looked odd to her, but she shrugged and went to the phone.
Ring…..ring….”Thank you for calling Dial-a-Prayer. How can I pray for you today?”
“Uh….sorry, wrong number.” Beth puts the phone down and looks down at the hallway where Rozanov had been wheeled.
God, he really is an asshole.

When Shane came over after practice Ilya told Shane that a few friends were coming over for lunch and to hang out for a few hours. Initially Shane was going to bolt and come back later but Ilya reminded Shane that he had three friends, and his parents knew about their relationship. Ilya just wants three of his friends to know, so it is fair yeah, so I have someone to talk too. Shane reluctantly agreed. They were Ilya’s best friends on the Raiders.

“Of course, Scott Hunter night and drinks. How could we say no.” Ilya grinned at Kip then winked.
Kip grinned; Ilya was very charming, flirtatious and very handsome.
