Summary
This is a one-shot, although set in the same storyline as "The Lion Will Not Sleep Tonight". It may, or may not actually take place sometime during the unfolding of the longer fic´s plot. I´m not sure, yet. :)
Obviously, it helps if you know the context, but it can be read as a standalone work.
All you need to know is that Erik is a (were)lion, Charles is very angry with him and Raven decides to help.
Oh, and yes, I took a liberty with one of The Beatles songs ("I´m Looking Through You") and rewrote the lyrics The_Colonel style.

It’s comical. Or, it would be comical if it wasn’t happening to him. Six months after Samira Mohan badged out of her final shift at the Pitt, it has become kind of, sort of comical that she will respond to everyone’s text messages and emails but Jack's own.
Or, Samira Mohan has a history of reading relationships wrong.

“A physician walking into a hospital just before shift change,” She watched as a grin spread across his face. “It’s a riddle no one has been able to crack.”
“You’re finally working nights?”
“I switched with Ellis,” She said. “So, you’re stuck with me for the next three days.” Her steps faltered. “Finally?”
“Are you serious? I’ve been trying to poach you from day shift since PittFest.”
“Really?”
“Really.” His response was almost instant. “You were incredible. The IO borehole, the pigtail catheter; I’m going to be talking about that for the rest of my life. Of course I want you for night shift.”
