Qifrey turned toward Olruggio while still holding the plates he was about to put away in their cupboards before his friend had pulled him out of his thoughts with his arrival.
“Olly! You’re ba-”
As he turned to face Olruggio, his breath caught in his throat, his bright smile morphed into a startled frown and the plates slipped from his fingers and shattered on the kitchen floor in a loud crash in the silence of the late evening.
Qifrey’s heart almost stopped right then and there.OR
Olly falls from a horse while on a commission and comes home a little banged up and both him and Qifrey have a great time about it. -

“Well,” Olruggio paused as he ate some of the food, thinking it over. Qifrey might be able to help a little, he might have seen more of Custas than Olruggio had for a start. “Coco asked me to find out how to remove a silverwood seed from someone.”
A thud startled him, and he looked over to see Qifrey had dropped the book and was staring at him with wide, almost horrified eyes.
When Coco comes to him with an unusual request, Olruggio is more than willing to help out. But the more he researches and experiments, the more he can't help but notice about his best friend. When it comes down to it, is there any way to save a Silverwood host?

What did their life look like from Olruggio’s eyes, Qifrey wondered. Did he too lie awake and restless long after saying goodnight, wondering why he slept alone?… How did moths, so entranced by the light of fire, know to stay far enough away lest that flame hurt them? Was it some primordial memory that survived passed down on instinct?
Perhaps Olruggio was the same; maybe even now he wished to confess his secret feelings but some instinct deep down whispered, “turn back, don’t get too close - it will hurt you.”

The thought leaves him with a hiss, not through mouth but through skin, the high-pitched screech of boiling water meeting flesh, followed by his own wail as his arm erupts in pain.
And Olruggio of the Torch burns.
