Love .
Romantic Love was such a fickle , volatile and menial thing . Yet , to others , it was paradise - an escape from what dreary lives they lead. It was referenced in almost every movie , every play , every song and every fairy tale .So , to you who seemed to ‘have everything’ , it was something you wanted to have as well . You pursued the sweet oasis and euphoria known as love but could never find it . No matter how desirable you made yourself , and how hard you tried , you could never find someone just for you - who’d return the sentiment fully .
After ‘falling in love’ many times and breaking from that fall the same amount of times , you gave up . While many needed you , you never needed them . You decided to Relent to the destiny you had set , knowing you’d never find ‘the one’.
Destiny and fate was also just as fickle and volatile. At least it means you can make your own fairy tale to find your one. Who knew it’d end with Finding You…

“Celine,” Rumi tried again, voice shaking as tears she didn’t even know she still had left to shed began to drip down her left cheek. “Celine, I said I love you.”

So, yeah. It was a great day. Until she opened the door to their temporary lodgings, and stepped into their common room, expecting to find it empty. Zoey and Mira both had their own trainees, after all.
But they were both here, and since they were out of direct sight of the door, Rumi heard them before she saw them. First a giggle—that was normal from Zoey. The breathy moan, which stabbed through Rumi’s gut like a lance, was not.
Rumi didn’t mean to sneak. Frankly, hearing that lewd sound from Zoey’s mouth caused every other thought to vacate her head altogether, so she couldn’t have tried if she wanted to. No matter her intentions, the door closed softly, and the room’s other occupants didn’t hear.
Maybe, they were too focused on each other to pay it any mind.
Or:
You've read it before. Rumi is in love with her roommates. She walks in on the mid-sex. In this one, she doesn't take it well. At all.
Her solution? Have sex with someone else. No one is okay with that.

Finally, Zoey blurted it out, voice soft but sharp:
“Have you ever thought of… something besides monogamy?”
Mira’s thumb stilled on the screen. She looked up, slow. “…What?”
Zoey’s hands twisted in her lap. “Like—not open relationships. Just… not just one person. Have you ever thought about being with more than one person and it still being okay?”
She wasn’t looking at Mira. Her voice was tight, like it hurt to speak. Mira watched her with a furrowed brow, still quiet.
“I feel so guilty all the time. Because I love you, Mira. I love you, and this doesn’t change that, but I see her and I want to make her smile and I want her to hold my hand and I think she’s beautiful and weird and sweet and I—”
She finally looked up, tears shining in her eyes.
“I think I ruined us. And I’m so sorry.”
Mira just stared at her. Wide-eyed. Silent.
Zoey’s heart dropped. “Say something.”
Mira exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for a month.
Then she visibly deflated—shoulders dropping, head tilting back against the wall—and let out a quiet, choked laugh.
“…Oh thank god.”
