Trevize sorely wished that he had cut himself off early. His lifelong inability to keep his mouth shut had certainly landed him in many an uncomfortable position. And now, Pelorat was gazing at him, questioningly.
“There’s a chance that I’ll—I’ll lose you.” The words rushed out of him, their tone more fitting of a man in front of an Imperial firing squad. "I don't want to lose you."
