Summary
“Y’know, I— uh, I won’t ask,” Techno states instead, his own tea forgotten.
“Hm?”
“I won’t ask what happened,” he reiterates awkwardly. “And like— neither do you, if you don’t want to. We don’t have to talk about any of this. Not yet, not ever.”
“I want to. I want to tell you,” Phil insists, clenching the mug with both hands. “I do, I just— he—”
“I know, I— uh—” His brows furrow as he stares at the avian, trying to think of what to say. “When you’re ready,” he settles on. “You can tell me when you’re ready.”
“I am ready,” Phil protests, and Techno raises an eyebrow.
“You’re shakin’, Phil.” Techno states bluntly, before softening. “You don’t need to force yourself. I’m not goin’ anywhere.”
Phil hesitates, the tea in his mug rippling with his tremors, droplets spilling over like a splattering of stars. “And if I’m never ready?”
He shrugs slightly. “Then you don’t tell me. Simple as that.”

Summary
He remembers. He remembers them all; each time a new scar was added to the tapestry already sewn onto Baam's body. Each time Khun was powerless. Was weak. Was useless.
He can’t be weak. Not now, not ever. Strength is the only balancer for compassion. And because Baam has so much compassion, Khun has to be strong enough to protect him. Strong enough to protect himself without relying on others.
Weakness is the one trait he swore to never have. Useless is the trait he never even considered having.
Right now, he’s both. And until he can stop being a burden, he can’t stop training. No matter how much it hurt the others. No matter how much it hurt himself.
From behind him, his second lighthouse beeps quietly.
---
AKA: Khun feels like he's both useless and a burden. The 72nd floor is almost completely unknown to even guides. Except, a certain blue-haired boy has found a secret that could be the difference between a pass and a fail. And it requires a gamble of life, and of death.

Summary
If you are reading this, it reads, you were chosen. Just like I was. I do not know who or what chose us, nor do I know why. But you are lucky. You are lucky to have been able to see something the rest of humanity could not: how the world thrived with or without our presence on this land. And it is beautiful.
You will not be able to appreciate this at first. You may scream. You may sob. And I understand. I did the same. Eventually, you will learn that loving the silence is an impossible task. Instead, you will learn to accept it. To adapt; to be satisfied with listening to the voice of the world and not to the voice of humanity.

AKA: Techno has been wandering an overgrown, post-apocalyptic world alone for years, and finally decides it's time to rest.

Summary
It's not even his fault. It wasn't his fault. He didn't mean to transform them, didn't know he couldn't change them back. If he could, he would have done so in an instant.
Would he?
After all, they would have left immediately, and Tommy would be alone again.
Part of him mourns for the trio. They were happy before, and now not only were their right to live ripped away from them, but also their right to die is now not theirs to hold anymore.
The majority of him, though, mourns for himself. Mourns for the boy who just wanted to stay with his family, feels for the kid who has to deal with the pain of what that led to.

Summary
“I live for moments like these,” she says, finally stopping to stare at the sunset. Her face is bathed in light again, but this time in shades of gold, lighting up her smile in a way that isn’t possible. “Where I can sleep happily, knowing the people I love will still be here tomorrow.”
“And what if those moments you live for aren’t possible anymore?” Phil asks. He doesn’t know what sparked him to say it, but his mouth opened before his mind. “What would you do then?”
“Isn’t it easy? I would find something else to live for. After all, isn’t joy the reason to live?” She replies, finally turning around to face him.
Phil laughs in exchange. “I live out of spite, if anything.”
Kristin only smiles, and reaches out to grasp his hands. “Then let me teach you love.”
