So, take a deep breath for me and calm the fuck down.” Buck practically growls in his ear, his voice deep and commanding.
After his third or fourth deep breath, he’s feeling lighter, freer even. He feels Buck smirk against his ear before he whispers, “Good boy,” right in Eddie’s ear and slips his headset back on his head. Buck steps back, letting his touch linger on his waist for just a moment as he releases his hold on Eddie, but his words are ringing in his ears.
Good boy. Good boy. Good boy.

When Head Coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, Eddie Diaz, gets heated on the sidelines, his ‘get back’ coach, Assistant Coach Evan Buckley is in charge of holding him back from the field of play. Chimney takes a deep breath, but Buck can see the glimmer of mischief in his eyes, "Your sister and I have a hall pass list."
Buck, despite being the coolest most chill person ever, blanches at the concept, "Gross. What does that have to do with me and Eddie?"
Maddie and Chimney share a look and Buck has to physically stop himself from gagging, "Wait—Eddie? Maddie, you can't have Eddie on your hall pass list."
Maddie, because she isn't the coolest, most chill person ever, does actually gag a little, "Ew."
Buck bristles at that, because over the past few days Buck has come to accept that Eddie is decidedly not ew.
